Media Reviews

'A wonderful page-turner about a fascinating idea that should affect the way every thinking person thinks about the world around him' Michael Lewis

'Hip and hopeful, THE TIPPING POINT is like the idea it describes: concise, elegant but packed with social power.

A book for anyone who cares about how society works and how we can make it better' George Stephanopoulos

What We Think

We think that Malcolm Gladwell is a very good story teller, which is handy in a non-fiction book - they can get a bit boring otherwise. He covers his theory of ‘epidemics’ in society in an interesting way, and with broad enough scope that there will be topics that you can relate to. The book was published in 2000, so it's not exactly up to date examples, but the theory stands up.

Detractors of Gladwell's writing tend to be annoyed at how much he focuses on story and examples, and is a bit slow at proving his point. Saying that his writing is very based in academic literature, so it isn't just an opinion piece. It's not for everyone, but it has sold an ungodly number of copies, and is in print 25 years later, so there are plenty of fans.
