Collection: Medieval Historical Fiction

There is something compelling about a historical fiction set in the medieval period. They are usually nice and 'gritty'. And the era is full of interesting events to write about. There are more wars than an author needs to pick from, plagues, political intrigue, religions controlling things, mad kings - all sorts of stuff worth setting a story around. 

One thing we did notice when putting our collection together is the number of crime mysteries set in monasteries and churches. Clearly there is something shifty about monks that people want to write about.
