You can have a history of anything you like, but in the grand scheme of the 'history of...' books, economics is a pretty big player. So plenty of history books have an economic edge to them, and plenty of history books are just pure economic history books.
They could be a history of the economics of a specific country in a specific era, they can be the history of specific economists and their impact on the world. It can even be a history of how economists have thought across the ages. What we are saying is that the genre has a danger of sounding boring, but there will be an aspect of it you will enjoy. You just have to have a look for it.
